USS Wolverine

USS "Wolverine" has been the name of two ship in the United States Navy.

*USS "Michigan" (1843) was renamed USS "Wolverine" 17 June 1905 so that her name might be given to a new battleship, USS "Michigan" (BB-27).
*USS "Wolverine" (IX-64) was a freshwater aircraft carrier converted from a side-wheel coal steamer. The ship was used only during World War II as a training vessel in Lake Michigan.
