Holly Brook, (born February 23, 1986) is a multi-instrumental singer and songwriter from Mazomanie, Wisconsin.

Biography

By the age of two, Brook was singing and actually harmonizing on "Happy Birthday" with her mother, Candace; at the age of six, she was performing professionally in a mother-daughter duo called Generations. At fifteen, she had already recorded three independent albums as Generations entitled "Dream Maker", "Lift Me", and "Millennial Child/Waiting For You".

By the time she went to Wisconsin Heights High School, Brook was sneaking into nightclubs and befriending jazz musicians. "The musicianship was absolutely mind-blowing," says Brook. With the help of a friend, jazz bassist Jeff Eckels, Brook, at age fifteen, put together her first band, and they played their first show at the Concourse Hotel Bar in Madison.

In 2003, Brook moved to Los Angeles where she met producer Jon Ingoldsby, who has worked with Madonna and Elton John, as well as writers/producers Rob Hoffman and Heather Holley. Together, they produced a demo that grabbed industry attention, which was then passed on to Linkin Park guitarist Brad Delson, who was deeply impressed with Brook's demo.

Then in the fall of 2004, Delson signed Brook to a recording contract with Machine Shop Recordings. Her first solo album, "Like Blood Like Honey", was released June 6th, 2006. Meanwhile, Brook has also contributed to Brie Larson's debut album "Finally Out Of P.E." and Mike Shinoda’s solo project, Fort Minor, and its 2005 album "The Rising Tied", most notably on the album's fourth single "Where'd You Go", as well as the Special Edition track "Be Somebody". Several songs off Holly's debut album have been used in TV shows, including the Dick Wolf law drama "Conviction", the short lived WB series Related, and the hit MTV reality show The Hills.

During her time in L.A., Brook has opened for Jamie Cullum, John Oates, Daniel Powter, k.d. lang, Teddy Geiger and her idol Willy Porter. She has also toured with Duncan Sheik by opening for him and singing/playing with his ensemble including songs from his Tony award winning musical, Spring Awakening. She is currently preparing for a UK tour with Jesse Malin and will be releasing a new album.

Late in 2006, Brook requested release from the Machine Shop label. In early May 2008, Brook's request was finalized.

As of March 2008, Brook is under new management with Stefano DiBenedetto for OCD Music Group.
