- Greg Banaszak
Greg Banaszak is an American saxophonist. He specializes in
European classical music , but also performsjazz .He serves on the faculties of the Baldwin-Wallace College Conservatory of Music (Assistant Professor of Saxophone and Director of Jazz Studies),
Kent State University (Assistant Professor of Saxophone), and theCleveland Institute of Music (adjunct faculty). He has also performed as saxophonist for theCleveland Orchestra .He holds a B.M. cum laude from the
Hartt School , an Artist Diploma from theChopin Academy of Music inWarsaw and a Performance Certificate from theCentre Musical d'Annecy inFrance . His instructors have includedVincent J. Abato ,Daniel Deffayet ,Jackie McLean ,David Pituch , andKenneth Radnofsky .Banaszak is a frequent concerto soloist with orchestras around the world and has given recitals throughout the United States, Eastern and Western Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
His most recent CD, featuring saxophone concerti with the
Polish National Chamber Orchestra , is available from the Centaur Records label. He has also recorded for the Chanson and Open Loop labels.External links
