Water Country touted as being "New England's Largest Waterpark" is a water park located in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Water Country opened in 1984 and was owned by the Samuels family until they were bought out by Festival Fun Parks in 2000. The park is now owned by Palace Entertainment. They have many slides and kiddie pools.

*Black Hole and Warp 8, two tube rides, the black hole being pitch black
*Double Dive Boggan, the only head-first slide in the park
*Double Geronimo, not for the faint of heart
*Dragon's Den, a toilet bowl ride

*Ollie Octopus
*Pirates Lagoon
*Racing Rapids and The Plunge, two slow, but reasonably long, tube rides
*Shoot and Screamer, the screamer being an open steep tube slide, and the shoot being pitch black
*Tahiti Tree House
*Thunder Falls and Wild Canyon, 4-5 passenger family rides
*Triple Giant Slides
*Whirlpool

Their commercial's jingle has remained the same since the park opened in 1984. The memorable lyrics are as follows:

"When the sun is blazing and the summer gets hot, Water Country's a very cool spot.There's no better place to feel and be young, Water Country have some fun.So get into riding, sliding and splashing, feel the excitement prime on the action.Having a good time under the sun, Water Country, Water Country, Water Country have some fun."

Water Country is one of the few amusement parks to allow and encourage its guests to bring picnic lunches into the park. They provide several large picnic areas at various points so guests can eat without having to leave the park. Alcoholic beverages, however, are strictly prohibited and are sold nowhere on the premises. Glass containers are also prohibited on the premises. Water Country is renowned for its excellent cleaning crew known as 'Rovers'.

This park is in no way and has never been affiliated with Anheuser-Busch Adventure Parks or Water Country USA. Water Country USA, which also opened in 1984, added a USA after its name in order to distinguish itself from Water Country in New Hampshire.
