Tarcowie (coord|32|57|S|138|31|E|region:AU-SA_type:x , postcode 5431, altitude 574m) is a town in South Australia. "Tarcowie" is an aboriginal word meaning "flood water". It was named by Governor Musgrave on May 20, 1875.

Tarcowie is in the Northern Areas Council local government area, the South Australian House of Assembly electoral district of Stuart and the Australian House of Representatives Division of Grey.
