Beaumont Reserve Fleet

The Beaumont Reserve Fleet is maintained in Beaumont, Texas as part of the National Defense Reserve Fleet (NDRF), maintained by the Maritime Administration (MARAD), an agency of the Department of Transportation (DOT).

It is one of the three remaining (originally eight) locations where mothballed ships are laid up for potential re-use.

The location is on the Neches River which connects to the Gulf of Mexico.

* "SS Tuskegee Victory", VC2-C-AP design, built 1945 at Oregon Shipbuilding Corporation, Portland OR, later renamed the "Dutton (AGS-22)"
* "SS Furman Victory", built 1945 at Oregon Shipbuilding Corporation, Portland OR, later renamed "Furman (AK-280)"
* "Magallanes", C6-S-60c design, built 1964.
* "ST Beaujolais", built 1954, sold for scrapping 2006
* "Brinton Lykes", C5-S-37f design, built 1962
* "Maumee", T5-S-12a design, built 1956
* "Pride II", stm/30k design, built 1959
* "Lexington", a tanker built in 1958
* "Pennsylvania Trader", stm/34k design, built 1963
* "Adonis", Dsl/80k design, built 1966
* "Texas Clipper I", P1-S1-DR design, built 1944
* "Maine", SEATRAI design, built 1944
* "American Explorer", T5-S-Rm2 design, built 1958
* "USS Tomahawk (AO-880)", later renamed the "Seatrain Maine", last activated for Desert Shield / Desert Storm from 1990 to 1991.

* (sunk as an artificial reef on May 17, 2006)
* SS "Maritime Victory", VC2-C-AP2 design, built 1945 at Bethlehem Steel, Fairfield, Baltimore MD, later renamed "Pvt. Frederick C. Murphy" (has been moved to Brownsville, TX and awaits scrapping)
*, later renamed USTS "Texas Clipper", a Texas A&M schoolship. Currently docked at the Port of Brownsville for artificial reef preparation.
