December 28 ,1931 -November 11 ,2005 ) was an AmericanB-movie actress who starred in the cult classic "Attack of the Crab Monsters " and later appeared in an Academy Award-nominated documentary, "Curtain Call" a documentary made in 2000 that focused on the lives and careers of the residents of the Lillian Booth Actors' Fund of America Home inEnglewood, New Jersey .A native of
Brooklyn, New York , Duncan won several local beauty pageants as a teenager before moving to California to become a movie actor. Her first role came in 1951, when she appeared in the film "Whistling Hills", but she was best known for her role in "Attack of the Crab Monsters", a 1957 science-fiction release directed byRoger Corman . Also in the 1950s, she played the part of Mike Hammer's secretary Velda in the mystery drama "My Gun Is Quick ".On television, Duncan appeared on a number of television programs including "Perry Mason" and "Maverick".
She died of a stroke at the age of 73.
