lion tamarin found only in the Brazilian state of São Paulo, almost exclusively at theMorro do Diabo State Park . It lives in secondary and primary forests along its restricted range.The first zoo to breed this species was Jersey, and now they have sent their offspring to other European zoos. Bronx also keeps the species, as does São Paulo.
