Berwick St. James

Berwick St. James

Berwick St. James is a village and civil parish in the Salisbury district of Wiltshire, England. According to the 2001 census it had a population of 185. The village is about nine miles north of Salisbury.

The church is notable for the fact that the stone benches in the porch are carved with the grid for the medieval board game Nine Men's Morris. Stapleford, the castle built for William of Normandy's huntsman Waleran, is nearby.
