Tony Aiello (born
March 6 ,1963 ) is a television reporter forWCBS-TV inNew York City . He joined the station in October, 2002 after spending more than four years atWNBC New York. Aiello is assigned to cover news in the northern suburbs from the WCBS-TV bureau inWhite Plains, NY .Aiello came to New York in 1996 to work for WBIS+, a new station started by Dow Jones & Company. Prior to New York, he worked at network affiliates WITI in
Milwaukee, WI andWTVF inNashville, TN , which is where he began using the name "Tony" on-air. Prior to Nashville, at jobs inGreenville, SC ,Charlottesville, VA , andWinchester, VA , Aiello used his given name, "Carm."Aiello was graduated from
Indiana University in 1985 with a degree in telecommunications. At IU he was a brother of thePhi Kappa Psi fraternity. He also was a member of the prestigiousIndiana University Student Foundation Steering Committee.In 2006, Aiello appeared in an episode of
Snapped on theOxygen Network to comment on the case of a woman accused of stabbing her husband. He also has appeared onCourt TV to discuss high-profile criminal cases he has covered.Aiello is active in the
Westchester County, NY arts scene. He is a board member of the Westchester Arts Council and is board secretary of theWestchester Philharmonic .Aiello's wife Elizabeth is a senior vice president at
Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia where her duties include directing Stewart's channel onSirius Satellite Radio . The couple has two children and reside inNew Rochelle, New York .References
