Bavington

Bavington

Bavington is a village and civil parish in the Tynedale district of Northumberland, England. According to the 2001 census it had a population of 99. The village is sixteen miles north from Hexham, and about the same west from Morpeth.

In 1794, the Northumberland mathematician and astronomer Henry Atkinson began running Bavington school when he was only thirteen.
