- Ellicean languages
The Ellicean languages are a subgroup of the
Samoic languages , including thePolynesian outlier s inMicronesia ,Papua New Guinea , and the northernSolomon Islands , as well as the languages ofTuvalu and sometimesTokelau . The name comes from theEllice Islands , the colonial name of Tuvalu. The other outlier languages are in the sister groupFutunic languages List of Ellicean languages

*Nukumanu (Nukumanu in the eastern islands ofPapua New Guinea )
*Nuguria (or Nukuria) (Nuguria in the eastern islands ofPapua New Guinea )Tokelauan, spoken on
