The Art Institute of Pittsburgh is authorized by the
Pennsylvania Department of Education and is authorized to confer the Bachelor’s of Science and Associate’s of Science degree to graduates of approved programs, approved for the training of veterans and eligible veterans’ dependents, and authorized under federal law to enroll non-immigrant alien students.The Art Institute is accredited by the
Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (“ACICS”) to award the Associate’s of Science and the Bachelor’s of Science degrees. ACICS is listed as a nationally recognized accrediting agency by theU.S. Department of Education . Its accreditation of degree-granting institutions is recognized by theCouncil for Higher Education Accreditation .The Associate of Science degree in Culinary Arts is accredited by the American Culinary Federation Foundation Accrediting Commission (ACFFAC). The Interior Design program leading to the Bachelor of Science in Interior Design is accredited by the Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA), www.accreditid.org, 146 Monroe Center NW, Suite 1318, Grand Rapids, MI, 49503-2822.
In order to graduate from The Art Institute of Pittsburgh’s Interior Design program as a CIDA Accredited Program, a student must complete a minimum of 151 residential credits out of the possible 180 earned credits.
