(2000)|"Love Like a Fountain" is the first single from Ian Brown's second solo album, "
Golden Greats ". Released onOctober 25 ,1999 , it placed #23 on theUK Singles Chart . The single version of the song was included in Brown's compilation album, "The Greatest". The single cover was a self-portrait designed by Brown.Brown has regularly commented that this is his favorite song from his solo catalogue, although he regretted it being released as a single.
During live performances, Brown regularly adds a stream of "-ation" based words, a lyrical style used in Stevie Wonder's "Pastime Paradise". That song in turn influenced Coolio's "Gangsta's Paradise" which Brown used as the basis for another single, "F.E.A.R."
