Bruce Alexander Grenfell Murray (born 18 September, 1940 in Johnsonville) played 13 Tests for New Zealand. He is one of just three players to have taken a Test wicket without conceding a run, giving him a bowling average of 0.00, having bowled 6 balls during a match against India in 1968. Post-Sports Activities

Following his cricketing career, Bruce Murray entered the public sector, to become a long-standing principal at Tawa College, [cite book| last=Fiske | first=Edward B. | coauthors= Ladd, Helen | publisher=Brookings Institution Press | pages=Page 14 | url=http://books.google.de/books?id=iDIb3Ci8IU4C&pg=PA14&lpg=PA14&dq=%22Bruce+Murray%22+cricket+Tawa&source=web&ots=brEOBZX36l&sig=Z5tNz_CAGTQe0_116j24rUT2uEs&hl=de&sa=X&oi=book_result&resnum=5&ct=result |title=When Schools Compete |] from 1989 to 2002. He has also gone on to the field of literature in his years of retirement, including a book about the Tawa bucket tree.
