This is a list of fictional villains and ghosts featured in the Nickelodeon animated series "Danny Phantom". Only major roles are listed here; minor characters such as henchmen or minions are excluded.

Main Villain

Vlad Masters/Plasmius

*Voice Actor: Martin MullVlad is a ghost hybrid who is Danny's arch-nemesis, as well as a multibillionaire with powers similar to Danny's. His main purpose is to kill Jack Fenton (whom he blames for "ruining his life"), and to obtain the Fenton family as his own.

Ghost Villains

The Lunch Lady Ghost

* Voice Actor: Patricia Heaton (first appearance), Kath Soucie
* Japanese Seiyū: Miyako ItoThe Lunch Lady Ghost appeared in the very first episode of the series, and was Danny's first major opponent. She does not like seeing the cafeteria's meat-based menu change in any way and can also control food (namely meat), to the point of forming it around herself as a giant meat monster. She has an unseen daughter named Boxed Lunch.

The Box Ghost

* Voice Actor: Rob PaulsenUsually serving as a cameo, The Box Ghost has the standard ghost powers of intangibility, invisibility, and flight. He has the ability to control boxes, and to put out the items inside, and therefore cannot be contained within the Fenton Thermos.

kulker

* Voice Actors: Mathew St. Patrick, Kevin Michael RichardsonSkulker introduces himself as a great predator. First appearing in "One of a Kind", Skulker hunts down rare and unusual items, and is often seen in the services of Vlad Plasmius. Inside his battle armor, he's a small green ghost with short arms and legs, and a squeaky voice.

Nicolai Technus

* Voice Actor: Rob Paulsen
* Japanese Seiyu: Yuji UedaNicolai Technus is the self-proclaimed "Master of Technology (and All Things Electronic and Beeping)". Technus has the ability to control and merge together with technology. He and Skulker can combine into one high-tech, dual personality superghost called SkulkTech.

Desiree

* Voice Actor: Peri Gilpin
* Japanese Seiyu: Rika MatsumotoDesiree is a female genie-like ghost who travels the world granting anyone's deepest desires, which usually have disastrous consequences and serve to increase her power. Prior to her life as a ghost, Desiree was a harem girl who won the heart of a sultan who promised to grant her her heart's desire, a kingdom of her very own, but then she was cast away from the palace by his jealous wife, and died of a combination of a broken heart and old age.

Vulture Ghosts

* Voice Actors: S. Scott Bullock (Ghosts #1 and #3), Rob Paulsen (Ghost #2)The Vulture Ghosts are Vlad's three 2,008-year-old ghost minions. They are faithful to Vlad and do everything they can to obey him, although at times they tend to complain.

Walker

* Voice Actor: James Arnold TaylorA very strict skull-faced vigilante and warden who runs the prison of the Ghost Zone with the help of numerous lackeys. He enjoys law and order on his side and whoever so much as disobeys one rule from his law book is in trouble.

Penelope Spectra

* Voice Actor: Tara Strong
* Japanese Seiyu: Chinami NishimuraPenelope Spectra has the ability to disguise herself as a human and keeps young by feeding on people's misery, especially teenagers. Her true form is that of a shadow-like creature.

Bertrand

* Voice Actor: Jim WardBertrand is Penelope Spectra's shape-shifting assistant. As Penelope builds people's depressions, Bertrand extracts the life energy from them. While he usually assumes the form of a short, middle-aged man, his true self is a blob of ectoplasm.

Ember McLain

* Voice Actor: Tara Strong
* Japanese Seiyu: KAORIEmber McLain is a hard-rocking girl who hates authority and gains power when "fans" cheer her name. Her power is using her music and lyrics to hypnotize her victims.

Fright Knight

* Voice Actor: Michael DornThe Fright Knight was released as a result of Danny attempting to borrow his sword for a haunted house-decorating Halloween contest. His sword, the Soul Shredder, causes people to disappear to a dimension where they experience their greatest fears. He also rides around on a bat-winged horse ghost known as the Nightmare.

Lydia

Lydia is a mute ghost who has the ability to generate any of her tattoos to come alive as physically separate forms, and perform multiple tasks. They are her primary means of attack and defense, and she can use them to combine and create a wave to overwhelm opponents as well as utilize them as her means of teleportation.

Youngblood

* Voice Actor: Taylor Lautner
* Japanese Seiyu: Etsuko KozakuraYoungblood is portrayed as a peglegged child with a hooked hand, who plays dress-up as a game and is only visible to children. He has a skeletal assistant who can transform into different animals.

Pariah Dark

* Voice Actor: Brian CoxPariah Dark is the King of all Ghosts, with control of the powerful Ring of Rage and Crown of Fire. While wearing both of these items, Pariah Dark has near limitless power, and the Fright Knight is his servant.

Dark Danny

* Voice Actor: Eric RobertsAn evil full-ghost version of Danny Phantom.

Prince Aragon

* Voice Actor: Dee Bradley BakerPrince Aragon is the ruthless older brother of Princess Dorathea, the Dragon Ghost. Their family treasured two magical "Amulets of Aragon" that allow the wearer to transform into a dragon, especially when angry or distressed. The prince is powerless without the amulet.

Hotep-Ra

* Voice Actor: S. Scott BullockHotep-Ra is the mummy-like spirit of an ancient minion of King Duulaman, an Egyptian pharaoh. He was released from his eternal sleep when Tucker looked into the mirror at the front of Ra's sarcophagus.

Vortex

* Voice Actor: David BoatVortex is a century-old ghost with the power to control weather. He finds Earth to be a meaningless planet, and has wrought havoc on it throughout the ages.

Undergrowth

* Voice Actor: Mark HamillUndergrowth is the main villain in the episode "Urban Jungle." He came out from beneath the ground to lay waste to Amity Park for their constant destruction of nature.

Nocturne

* Voice Actor: James GarrettNocturne is the ghost of sleep and dreams; he and his army of Sleep Walkers made the entire citizenry of Amity Park fall into a deep slumber, slipping a metal helmet on each person's head (which shocked anyone who tried to take it off) to absorb their dream energies.

Human Villains and Anti-Heroes

Valerie Gray

* Voice Actor: Grey Delisle (1st voice), Cree Summer (2nd voice)Valerie is a Ghost Hunter who was once a popular girl at Casper High and part of the "in" crowd. She and her father have little money, and thus her popularity status plummets. Valerie blames her misfortunes on Danny Phantom, thus dedicating herself to hunting ghosts.

Guys in White

A secret government organization whose goal is to eliminate all ghosts and other paranormal beings on earth. The organization mainly focuses around two agents tasked on capturing Danny Phantom.

Freakshow

* Voice Actor: Jon CryerFreakshow is the show's only actual human villain, who runs a goth circus and uses a special staff with a ruby crystal ball that can control ghosts; without it, he is powerless.

The Master's Blasters

* Voice Actors: Colleen O'Shaughnessey (Vid), Dee Bradley Baker (Thrash), Rob Paulsen (Download)A trio of Ghost Hunters in their late teens, but they have no backstory. Their names are Vid, Download, and Thrash.

Ghost allies

Wulf

* Voice Actor: Dee Bradley BakerWulf is a werewolf, and Tucker is the only one that can communicate with him as he is partially knowledgeable in Esperanto. Wulf's claws can create portals to and from the Ghost Zone to the mortal world, and also separate ghosts from those they overshadow, which he does by stabbing the overshadowed person.

Clockwork

* Voice Actor: David CarradineClockwork is a violet-cloaked ghost who lives in a giant clock. He oversees time and has time-based powers, such as stopping and speeding time, and switching from child to elderly form and in between. He can use amulets to bring people or objects into the past, present or future, but they are useless against those who wears one of his medallions.

Frostbite

* Voice Actor: Bob JolesFrostbite is a Yeti-like ghost in charge of the Realm of the Far Frozen. Frostbite and his race, the Far Frozen, are intelligent creatures capable of medicine and technology. They treat Danny like royalty due to his defeat of Pariah Dark.

Pandora

* Voice Actor: April StewartThe creator and owner of "Pandora's Box," whom Danny seeks to help stop the Box Ghost. Not much else is known about her, other than she created the box specifically to contain the world's evils.

Other ghosts/neutral ghosts

Dora the Dragon Ghost

* Voice Actors: Kevin Michael Richardson (Dragon Ghost, first appearance), Grey DeLisle (Dora, first appearance), Susan Blakeslee (Dora, Dragon Ghost)Dora (short for Dorothea) is a young ghost princess who is doomed to always wear the cursed amulet of Aragon, which turns anyone who wears it into a fierce Ghost Dragon when they experience emotional distress, until it is removed. She is pressured by her big brother, Prince Aragon, to do his dirty work for him.

idney Poindexter

* Voice Actor: Peter MacNicolSidney Poindexter is the ghost of a fifties-era teenager who was trapped in an unchanging world of ghost bullies within a mirror in Casper High. Desperate to get out and get revenge on bullies everywhere, Sidney tricked Danny into switching places with him, trapping Danny's ghost form in the mirror while he possessed Danny's human body.

The Dairy King Ghost

* Voice Actor: S. Scott BullockThe Dairy King Ghost is the friendliest ghost of the Wisconsin Dairy King. He once lived where Vlad Masters' castle presently stands.

Ghost Dog

* Voice Actor: S. Scott BullockThe Ghost Dog is a puppy when playful, but becomes a fully grown thirty-foot adult bullmastiff when angered. He was responsible for trashing the Axion company.

Johnny 13

* Voice Actor: William Baldwin
* Japanese Seiyu: Daisuke KishioJohnny 13 is a '50s-era biker with bad luck, who has a girlfriend named Kitty. When he becomes bored, his shadow starts causing trouble and Danny starts to get in his way. His Shadow obeys his every command, but is easily subdued by light and water. Johnny has ghost powers (invisibility, overshadowing, flight, and intangibility), but he usually prefers to cause mayhem on his bike that can fire blasts from its headlight. His main ability is to summon his shadow to stop his enemies.

Kitty

* Voice Actor: Chynna Phillips
* Japanese Seiyu: Junko NodaKitty is Johnny 13's girlfriend who unwittingly causes trouble for Danny. She can blow kisses that can make anyone that it hits disappear to parts unknown.

Behemoth

Behemoth is the four-armed protector of the Skeleton Key, which is stolen by Vlad.

Femalien, Terminatra and Nightmerica

* Voice Actor: Grey DeLisleThree female ghosts.

Box Lunch

* Voice Actor: Kath SoucieShe is the daughter of the Lunch Lady Ghost and the Box Ghost from an alternate timeline. Like her namesake and parents' legacy, she can control both food and boxes as well as communicate with them. She was sent by Clockwork to fight Danny.

kulkTech 9.9

The future version of Skulker and Technus fused together. Skulker and Technus are much more powerful in this form than they are apart. One of their main weaknesses is that Tucker is still able to take control of the armor using his PDA.

The Observants

* Voice Actors: Dee Bradley Baker (Observant #1), Phil Morris (Observant #2)A pair of ghosts whose faces are nothing more than large eyes. They observe the events of both the human world and the Ghost Zone, but are not allowed to interfere with the course of events, which does not stop them from nagging others into manipulating such events. The Observants often call upon Clockwork to do work for them.

Ghost Writer

* Voice Actor: Will ArnettGhost Writer is an author who resides in the Ghost Zone. He can create any circumstance simply by typing it, and a situation he creates can continue even after his Keyboard is destroyed. His one weakness is the lack of words that rhyme with "orange," thus breaking his poetic control over his victims.

Amorpho

* Voice Actor: Danny MannA faceless ghost who has the power to metamorphize into anyone or anything he desires, save for his red eyes. He goes unnoticed because he is faceless, so he pulls numerous pranks and changes forms simply so he can get attention.

Bullet

* Voice Actor: Daran NorrisBullet is ghost warden Walker's second-in-command, though he often resorts to his own methods rather than Walker's.
