- Aris Kindt
Aris Kindt (Aris the Kid) was the alias of a man (real name Adriaan Adriaanszoon)
convicted ofarmed robbery in theNetherlands in the early 1600s. He was sentenced to death by hanging. His body was later autopsied by theAmsterdam Guild of Surgeons on16 January 1632 . The autopsy was painted byRembrandt that year in "Anatomy Lesson of Dr. Nicolaes Tulp ", which depicts the surgeonNicolaes Tulp at work, surrounded by students and spectators. Some of the spectators are patrons who paid commissions to be included in Rembrandt's painting.He is discussed in the 1999 novel "
