The home ground of the team is called "Olimpia Stadium" and has 18,000 seats. The colours of the team are yellow and blue. Its satellite team is Someşul Satu Mare, which plays in the third division, group VIII. Olimpia's most important results are the qualification in the final of Romania's Cup in 1978 (lost 1-3 against Universitatea Craiova) and in the quarterfinals of the Romanian Championship in 1927 (1-6 against Chinezul Timişoara, that year's champions). Moreover, in 1986 and 1985 the club's junior team took the second and, respectively, third, place in the Romanian championship for youth. Among Olimpia's ex-players probably the best known are Daniel Claudiu Prodan (ex Steaua), Gabor Gerstenmaier (ex Dinamo), Tiberiu Csik (ex Steaua), Gavrila Both and Zoltan Ritli (ex Steaua), who have all played for Romania's national football team.
