ynopsis

The show is about a French explorer, Yvon Ducharme, who became frozen in an ice block in the Yukon after being knocked overboard off his boat. The exact date of this is unclear, although his constant cries of devotion towards King Louis indicate it was before the French Revolution. This served the purpose of cryogenically freezing him for 300 years. Luckily for Yvon, he was defrosted when he was urinated on by a sled dog (according to the opening credits this was "some irony"), owned by Tommy, an Inuit teenager. The show follows the adventures of Yvon as he attempts to adjust to life in the Yukon whilst the residents of the town of Upyer Mukluk (a play on "Up your Mukluk") do the same. It takes place in the fictional town Upyermukluk, Yukon Territory, "the hottest cold town in the Arctic, midway between Shivermetimbers and Frostbottom Falls".
