Newtrament is a London DJ credited with releasing the first British hip hop record in the UK - London Bridge is Falling Down by Jive Records.[1] He recorded it in 1983, and it was based on the nursery rhyme (previously adapted by the reggae group Culture) with a political message that electoral politics were a sham.[2]
