Woodrow Wilson Middle School is a middle school located in Edison, New Jersey, in the United States, and is part of the Edison Township Public Schools. The school serves students in the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade in a two-story building. There are approximately 43 classrooms in the school. Graduates of Woodrow Wilson Middle School enter J. P. Stevens High School.

Campus

The school is located at the end of Woodrow Wilson Drive off Plainfield Road. Following the Space Shuttle Challenger disaster, several first floor hallways of the school were named after the astronauts who perished. In addition, Woodrow Wilson's central courtyard, which is normally closed to students, is dedicated to the late John L. Kotcho, who was a long-serving vice-principal.

Courses

The school has a wide variety of subjects offered to students, Classes that students are required to take are - Social Studies, Life Science, Mathematics, English, Health (one marking period/year) and Physical Education (3 marking periods/year).

All non-ESL sixth and seventh grade students have two periods of English a day. They are also required to alternate their elective and foreign language course (French or Spanish) daily. On "A" days students have one of the classes, on "B" days they have the other. For eighth graders in level two English, the "A-day/B-day" format used by sixth and seventh graders still applies. For students in level 1 or honors English, only one period of English is taken a day, as well as one period of foreign language. These students are also required to pick two electives, which they will alternate between in the "A-Day/B-Day" format.

Electives include Home Economics, Industrial Technology, Music, Chorus, Band, Orchestra, and Art. English as a Second Language is also offered.

Each grade is divided into "clusters", which are groups of roughly 100 students. Students only have classes with those in there cluster, except for electives, which are mixed among the whole school.
