Southeast High School (Florida)

Southeast High School is located in Bradenton, Florida, in Manatee County. The school mascot is the Seminole and school colors are blue and orange, with secondary colors of gray and white.

Academics

Southeast High School has an active, fully accredited International Baccalaureate program, which is a worldwide-recognized institute known for its advanced classes. The program at Southeast now serves more than 100 students yearly and offers courses in English, Foreign Language (German, French, or Spanish), ITGS (Information Technology in a Global Society), IB Music, Physics, Mathematics, Biology, Design Technology, History and Theory of Knowledge.

Music

Southeast High School's music program is highly respected. The Wind Ensemble, Jazz Band, Marching Seminole Band and many solo musicians consistently earn 'Superior' ratings at the annual Florida Bandmasters Association Solo and Ensemble adjudications and district competitions. Southeast musicians continue to represent Manatee County in the Florida Music Educators Association (FMEA) All State music festival.

Extracurricular activities

Southeast High School has a very active FFA and Technology Student Association (TSA) programs, student government, and numerous student-run clubs.

Southeast High School has a long tradition of athletic excellence and participates in varsity sports in football, basketball, baseball, soccer, weightlifting, volleyball, track, golf, cross country, and swimming.
