Skancke

Skancke

Skancke is a Norwegian family. The main centre of the "Skancke" branch of the family is situated in the old mining town of Røros in Mid-Norway. They claim noble roots in a medieval family which used leg as its escutcheon figure, and which has been restropectively dubbed with the then non-existent surname Skanke. Fact|date=March 2007

Several family members belong to Skanke Family Association.

They have had coat of arms or crest made, of the Skancke family, to show their alleged relation with past Isle of Man monarchical dynasty.
