March 14 ,1953 ) is aUnited States politician. She was the 2004 Democratic Party candidate for theUnited States House of Representatives forNew Jersey 's FifthCongressional District . She is married and lives inMahwah, New Jersey .Wolfe handily beat her only primary opponent, Frank Fracasso of Green Township, Sussex County, by a margin of more than 5 - 1 .
Wolfe holds a degree in government with minors in American history and sociology from
Lawrence University as well as certificates from theWharton School of the University of Pennsylvania andYale University . She has announced that she would not run for the Democratic nomination for the House in 2006.In the 2004 election, she received 122,259 votes or 41% compared to Republican
Scott Garrett 's 171,220 votes or 58% of the vote. Garrett had refused to debate Anne Wolfe several times over the campaign cycle.Endorsements
