Thor Jørgen Spurkeland (from Knarvik, Norway) is a Norwegian footballer playing midfielder and striker.

He is a promising junior who was transferred to Brann from Nordhordland B.K. (NBK) in 2003. He debuted on the first-team in the Norwegian cup's first round against Norheimsund on May 26, 2004. He scored his first goal for Brann in the 1st round in the Norwegian cup against Gneist on May 7 2005. Spurkeland won the 2004 distinguishing award from the Kniksen fund.

Being a man for the future, Spurkeland was loaned out to Løv-Ham during the 2006 season to get valuable first-team experience. But Spurkeland didn't manage to gain a spot on the first team, and in July 2006, he was loand out to the 2nd division club, Fyllingen.

At the end of 2007, he returned to his native club, NBK.
