"The Forum Newsweekly" is a weekly newspaper published every Wednesday in Downtown Shreveport, Louisiana. The news-magazine is also known as "Forum", "Forum Magazine" and "The Forum".

History

"The Forum Newsweekly" is owned and published by Venture Publishing of Shreveport, Louisiana. "The Forum" began publication by its current owner Jay Covington, originally of East Texas, in 1988.

The newsmagazine is distributed in Caddo, Bossier, DeSoto, Webster, Claiborne & Red River Parishes in northwest Louisiana. It is also distributed in Harrison, Marion & Gregg Counties in east Texas.

In 2006 a lifestyles publication, "CityLife Magazine", was added. The monthly publication has a circulation of 16,000.

"The Forum" covers Ark-La-Tex news, politics, views, arts and entertainment. The magazine includes seasoned journalist such as Lou Gehrig Burnett, Chuck Fellers, Marty Carlson, Oliver North and syndicated journalist Molly Ivins (until her death in 2007), Jeremy Alford as a state correspondent.
