civil parish in theSuffolk Coastal district ofSuffolk ,England , about six miles north ofFelixstowe , 10 miles south-east of Woodbridge and 2 miles south ofHollesley , on theNorth Sea coast. According to the 2001 census it has a population of 421. Alderton has a Village shop, a doctor's surgery, a builder's office, a village hall, and a church without a steeple. It was destroyed in a storm in the 1700s, and the parish was too poor to replace it.The children who reside in the village can either go to Bawdsey Primary School, or Hollesley Primary school, both in the next villages.
