Phil Moorby is an
engineer andcomputer scientist . Moorby was born and brought up in Birmingham, England, and studiedMathematics atSouthampton University ,England . Moorby received his Masters incomputer science fromManchester University ,England in1974 . He moved to theUnited States in1983 . Co-Design Automation in1999 , and in2002 he joinedSynopsys to work onSystemVerilog verification language.On
October 10 ,2005 Moorby became the recipient of the 2005Phil Kaufman Award for his contributions to the EDA industry, specifically for development and popularization of Verilog, one of the world's most popular tools ofelectronic design automation .References
