Asaminami-ku (安佐南区) is one of the eight wards of the city of
Hiroshima , located in the South ofAsa-gun : now-defunct district.Asa-gun was consisted of
Gion-cho ,Yasufuruichi-cho ,Sato-cho ,Numata-cho . After being merged with Hiroshima in 1973, this ward began named Asaminami-ku.The largest station of Astramline Vehicles: a new traffic system is in Asaminami-ku. This system brought population inflow because of increasing houses.As of
April 1 2006 , the ward has an estimatedpopulation of 218,107 and a density of 1,861.14 persons per km². The total area is 117.19 km².Traffic system
