Background and recording
Günther's version is sung in English, though with a heavy German accent. The song is a parody of Eurodance genres and notably from the German 1980s.[3]
The song has also gained widespread popularity on YouTube. One of the most popular fan-made videos consists of American servicemen in Iraq performing a variety of dances to the song. Along with YouTube-users in front of their computers lip-synching, and edited parodies.
Composition and lyrics
The song's popularity is largely due to its euphemistic chorus: "Ooohh, you touch my tra la la... Mmmmm, My ding ding dong."
