Jenkins Arboretum (46 acres) is a nonprofit
arboretum located at 631 Berwyn Baptist Road,Devon, Pennsylvania . It is open to the public daily from sunrise to sunset with free admission.The arboretum was established by H. Lawrence and
Elisabeth Phillippe Jenkins , whose estate designated that their property become a "publicpark , arboretum, andwildlife sanctuary for use by the public and responsible organizations engaged in the study ofarboriculture ,horticulture , andwildlife for educational and scientific purposes..." In 1971 Mrs. Louisa P. Browning donated 26 acres of adjoining property to the arboretum, more than doubling its size. The arboretum first opened to the public in 1976.The arboretum features native trees, shrubs,
rhododendron s,azalea s,mountain laurel , blueberries,fern s, andwildflower s. A particular focus of the collection are its rhododendron varieties from all over the world. The site also supports many varieties of wildlife includingfox es,flying squirrel s,turtle s,Belted Kingfisher s,Green Heron s,Red-tailed Hawk s,owl s, and over 90 other identified birdspecies .See also
