MacUpdate is an Apple Macintosh software download website, started in the late-1990s. It has been featured in several magazines and newspapers including "The New York Times", "USA Today, "Detroit News & Free Press", "The Philadelphia Inquirer", "The Leelanau Enterprise", "Macworld Magazine" and MacLife.

MacUpdate is updated every day, listing the newest updates and releases of Macintosh software for the Mac OS and Mac OS X operating systems. It does not list Microsoft Windows or Linux software, although it does list some software that has been ported from Linux and requires Apple's X11 environment. The website is free to use. A membership service is also available that offers users expanded service.

On 2005-12-25, MacUpdate briefly changed its homepage to one which advertised their firm religious beliefs, leading some to think that their site had been defaced by hackers. It was not a defacement, but was in fact a genuine reflection of the owners' belief in Jesus Christ.
