Kilcrohane west ofBantry ,County Cork, Ireland , He emigrated to America in 1888, landed inNew York , and moved on to theTerritory of Wyoming . he was engaged in sheep raising in Rawlins,Carbon County, Wyoming . He moved toCasper, WY , in 1892, and became interested in banking, the production of oil, and various other enterprises. He was a member of theWyoming House of Representatives 1894-1896, 1898-1900, and theMayor ofCasper 1897-1899. He was appointed onDecember 5 ,1929 , as a Republican to the United States Senate to fill the vacancy caused by the death ofFrancis E. Warren and served fromDecember 5 ,1929 , toNovember 20 ,1930 , when a successor was elected and qualified. He was not a candidate for election to fill the vacancy. He continued his former business pursuits until his death in Santa Barbara, Calif., April 8, 1935 and was interred in Highland Cemetery, Casper, WY.ources
