† Appearances (Goals).Craig Deans (born 7 May 1974 in Perth, Western Australia, Australia) is an Australian football (soccer) player. He last played as a central defender for the Australian A-League club Newcastle United Jets.
After a long period of injury Deans retired from football in 2007. In 2008, Deans became the inaugrial youth team coach for the Newcastle Jets for their team in the new A-League National Youth League.[1]
On 5 October 2011, he was appointed interim coach of the Newcastle Jets after the sacking Branko Culina.[2]
