Hansa class ) was a Polish schoolship of thePolish Navy , a second vessel to bear that name. It was built in German-occupiedDenmark in early1945 , shortly before the end ofWorld War II and initially named afterIrene Oldendorf . Shortly after the capitulation of Germany she was taken by theRoyal Navy and renamed to "HMS Countess", but in1946 it was given to theSoviet Union as part of that country'swar reparations from Germany. Renamed to "Omsk" she served in the Soviet Navy until1950 when she was acquired by thePolish Navy . Initially named "ORP Zetempowiec", in1957 she was renamed after the notable Polish WWII minelayer. In1976 she was decommissioned and sold to thePort of Gdynia , where she serves as a heatingbarge . Her role of aschool ship was taken by a newORP Gryf (Wodnik class) .
