Justice Ofei Akrofi (born 1942) is the
Anglican Bishop ofAccra (Ghana ) andArchbishop (primate) of theChurch of the Province of West Africa . He was elected to that position in 2003. Archbishop Akrofi studied in Ghana and in the
United States at Central Connecticut State College (now a university), receiving there B.Sc. and M.Ed. degrees, and Yale, where he graduated in 1976 with aMaster of Divinity degree. Later, he taught atCape Coast University and theUniversity of Ghana before serving as dean of the Holy Trinity Cathedral inAccra and later as Bishop of Accra since 1996. physician Dr. Maria Eugenia Akrofi, and they have had two children together.Like many
