Shaidu is a town of about 50,000 people, in the
Nowshera district of theNorth-West Frontier Province ,Pakistan . It is located about 16kilometers east of the city of Nowshera, between theKhattak mountains to the south and theRiver Kabul in the north.The nearby
Mughal Dam provides a reservoir for agriculturalirrigation , as well as recreational facilities. Shedu is home to the Akor Khel, rulingkhel of thekhattak tribe, as well as to theMohallah Khan Khail .Shaidu is politically, socially, and economically wonderful town. It gave some of the greatest economists, politicians, and industrialists to Pakistan such as Ghulam Faruque.
People of Shaidu are recognised all over the N.W.F.P as sportsmen. They have won hundreds of trophies in cricket, volleyball and football.
