Mark Howard (born 21 September 1986) is an English association football player who plays for Scottish Premier League club fc|St. Mirren.cite news|url=http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/s/st_mirren/6251146.stm|publisher=BBC Sport website|title=St Mirren sign up striker Dargo|date=28 June 2007]

Howard, a goalkeeper, started his career with fc|Arsenal, but he never made an appearance for the first team. He was loaned to Scottish Premier League club fc|Falkirk in January 2006, where he made eight appearances. After his loan period ended in the summer, he was released by Arsenal. He was offered a permanent contract with Falkirk, but instead decided to join fc|Cardiff City. Howard only made two appearances for Cardiff, against fc|The New Saints in an FAW Premier Cup match and against fc|Barnet in a Carling Cup match. In each of these games, he blundered, and Cardiff were eliminated from both competitions. He therefore gained a reputation as being unreliable. He joined Swansea City on loan for a month in January 2007 [ [http://www.swanseacity.premiumtv.co.uk/page/News/LatestNewsDetail/0,,10354~967755,00.html] ] Dead link|date=August 2008 and he was released by Cardiff at the end of the 2006–07 season.

Howard then joined fc|St. Mirren. He made his St. Mirren debut on the 13 February 2008, keeping a clean sheet against fc|Dundee United in a Scottish Cup match. He made his league debut three days later as St. Mirren suffered a 4–0 defeat against fc|Falkirk.
