Super-thermites

Super-thermites: Super-thermites are powders containing an oxidizer and a reducing agent that when heated to a critical temperature undergo a very powerful exothermic reaction. What separates them from traditional thermite is the fact that the oxidizer and a reducing agent, normally iron oxide and aluminum are not a fine powder, but rather nanometer-sized particulates. This dramatically increases the reactivity relative to micrometre-sized powder thermite.
