Aleksa Šantić , a Serb poet fromBosnia and Herzegovina . In Serbian, the village is known as "Aleksa Šantić" or Алекса Шантић, in Croatian as "Aleksa Šantić", in Bunjevac as "Aleksa Šantić", and in Hungarian as "Hadikkisfalu".History
In 1468, settlement named "Šara" was mentioned at this location. Present-day village was founded between 1923 and 1926 and was settled by
Serb volunteers fromWorld War I . During the Hungarian Axis occupation inWorld War II , name of the village was changed to "Fernbach".Historical population
