- Carnage Visors
Carnage Visors (an
antonym of rose-coloured spectacles) is a short film made byRic Gallup . It was made as an opening act forThe Cure on their1981 Picture Tour instead of an opening support band. The Cure used this film on some of the gigs they played and it featured animation of several dolls in different positions and stances. The film has since disappeared and onlyLol Tolhurst , Robert Smith, andSimon Gallup own copies of it, though during a televised interview in the mid-1980s, the host of the program surprised the band by playing a clip of the film on a television that was on the set.Soundtrack
