N.A.M.E., the National Association of Mobile Entertainers (N.A.M.E.) was founded in 1996 by former American Disc Jockey Association (ADJA) Board member Bruce Keslar.
According to their mission statement, "As the largest Mobile Entertainers / DJ association, N.A.M.E. is constantly striving and seeking to advance the industries it serves. N.A.M.E. continually seeks to develop strategic relationships that aid not only the industry but each respective association member company. On an annual basis, N.A.M.E. provides all members with access to top level advanced education, premier insurance protection/polices, essential business benefits, industry certification and various other benefits that help members grow their bottom line either via cost savings and/or business advancement. The essence of N.A.M.E. is to provide Mobile Entertainers access to all the tools they need to build, grow and sustain their businesses."
Membership is open to Professional DJs and Mobile Entertainers that must meet certain criteria, such as providing business and trade references, a listing of their professional equipment and they must make the commitment to education so that they may serve their clientele more effectively.
N.A.M.E. also accepts Affiliate Memberships from manufacturers, companies and dealers offering products or services to professional mobile entertainers.
N.A.M.E. is a Nationwide Disc Jockey Association with a full time staff to better serve its membership and offers a wide range of benefits including Group Liability and Equipment Insurance, Online Referral Listings, and Certification programs.
Education of the membership, the media and the consumer is the association's primary goal.
