Western Somali Democratic Party is a political party in Ethiopia. It emerged out of the Western Somali Liberation Front in 1975. The party is led by Hassan Jire Kalinle. The vice chairman of the party is Joseph Nur.
In the 2005 regional elections, the party won one seat (of 182) in the legislature of the Somali Region. [ [http://africanelections.tripod.com/et_2005state.html African Elections Database] ] In 2000 it had won 3 out of 168.
