Edward Leonard Ginzton (December 27, 1915 – August 13 1998) was a famous Ukrainian-American physicist.

Ginzton was awarded the IEEE Medal of Honor in 1969 for "his outstanding contributions in advancing the technology of high power klystrons and their application, especially to linear particle accelerators."

Ginzton was a member of the National Academy of Engineering and in the National Academy of Sciences.

He attended the University of California, Berkeley, where he received his bachelor's degree in 1936 and his master's degree in 1937. He then attended Stanford University for graduate school, where he received a graduate degree in electrical engineering in 1938 and a Ph.D. in applied physics in 1940.
