Moammar Rana (Shahmukhi: معمر رانا) is an actor[1] from Pakistan's Lahore-based film industry called "Lollywood". Moammar also worked in the blockbuster TV dramas such as Dil, Diya, Dehleez. Moammar is son of former Pakistani cricketer Shafqat Rana.

Personal life

Moammar Rana married Mehnaz Pervaiz on 25 October 1998. Mehnaz who was born on 28 November 1970, graduated from Islamabad College for Girls F 6/2 in 1994.

Moammar met Mehnaz while filming Deewane Tere Pyar Ke.

Moammar has 2 daughters named Rhea (born on 30 June 1999) and Raneya (born on 15 January 2006).

Film and television career

He starred in film called Kudiyon Ko Dale Dana as a second lead actor. He got his first break in Deewane Tere Pyar Ke which was a huge hit in Pakistan. After that he starred in many successful films like Channa Sachi Muchi, Fire, Jhoomar, Koi Tujh Sa Kahan alongside Veena Malik.

He starred in a number of Punjabi films and Pakistani soap dramas.

Rana became judge of Pakistan's first-ever dance competition, Nachley (season 2) alongside Noor and Faisal Qureshi. He has worked in the Bollywood film Dobara (2004) with actress Mahima Chaudhry in a special appearance and made his full-fledged Bollywood debut in Ek Second... Jo Zindagi Badal De? opposite Manisha Koirala and former Miss India Nikita Anand.
