Jerome Richardson (
November 15 ,1920 -June 23 ,2000 ) was an American jazz musician, tenor saxophonist, and flute player, who also played alto sax, baritone sax, clarinet and piccolo. He played withCharles Mingus ,Lionel Hampton , theThad Jones/Mel Lewis Big Band , and later withEarl Hines ' small band. He also played onSteely Dan 's first LP, "Can't Buy a Thrill ".Richardson was born in
Oakland, California and died inEnglewood, New Jersey .Discography
