Taranaki War

There have been two conflicts known as the Taranaki War:
*The First Taranaki War (1860 – 1861)
*The Second Taranaki War (1864 – 1866)Both conflicts are so named because they took place in the Taranaki region, on the North Island of New Zealand. A third conflict, Titokowaru's War (1868 – 1869) also took place in Taranaki.
