radio station owned by Davison Media Group inIndianapolis, Indiana , U.S. though technically licenced in Beech Grove, Indiana. The station operates on theAM radio frequency of 1590 kHz. The studios and transmitters are located at 4800 E. Raymond St. on the southeast side of Indianapolis.History
WNTS began operation as WGEE on December 10, 1956. Shortly after signing on, it became a station aimed toward the African American population of Indianapolis.
When the call letters changed (date at this time unknown), the new calls stood for News Talk Sports. Among the employees after the change was a Broad Ripple High School graduate named
David Letterman .The station changed formats to Southern Gospel in 1976. Since the station was sold (reported October 10, 2005 by [http://www.well.com/~irw/archive/101005.html Indiana RadioWatch] ), its website has gone down. The former owner of the station was Sam Smulyan, father of Emmis Communications CEO Jeff Smulyan.
Station broadcasting information

Programming
WNTS was a Southern Gospel music and talk station, but upon ownership change, became a Hispanic programming station.
