Anneli Drecker

Anneli Marian Drecker (born 12 February 1969) is a Norwegian singer and actor from the city of Tromsø. She is the vocalist in the track "Sparks" by Röyksopp, appearing on the album "Melody A.M.". She is also the vocalist for Bel Canto. She appeared with countrymen a-ha on their "Minor Earth, Major Sky" Tour and appeared on the live DVD "Live from Vallhall" and the following album from their European Tour, "How Can I Sleep With Your Voice In My Head".

In 2003 she was a jury-member in the Norwegian version of Pop Idol.

She has been the lead singer of the Norwegian alternative pop band Bel Canto from the start in 1985 and to date, as Bel Canto has never officially disbanded despite the band not being active for a few years. In the fall of 2006 Bel Canto celebrated the 20 years since the first album with several concerts and Bel Canto is rumoured to be working on yet another album.

Anneli Drecker has also worked with various "world pop music" personalities like Jah Wobble and Hector Zazou.

In a newsbit in [http://www.side-line.com/news_comments.php?id=10847_0_2_0_C/ Side-Line Magazine] she recently said she added a Morten Harket song to her new solo album "Frolic".
