- Mark Michals
Mark Michals was the drummer on the first two
Faster Pussycat albums and their "Live And Rare" EP.After their second album, he was fired because of heroin possession. A FedEx package containing the drugs was detected during transport to Michals in Tucson AZ. where the band was scheduled to play a show at "MudBugs" club that night. The FBI followed the package and the moment Michals signed for it he was arrested. He was replaced for the tour supporting their second album by drummer
Frankie Banali , who was himself replaced by drummerBrett Bradshaw after the tour.Mark originally came from Las Vegas, Nevada. There he was a skate punk who played drums in a punk rock called band F8. He went by the name of Mark Minolta because of his interest in skate photography. His first drum set was comprised of the cast offs of other drummers and nearly every one of his cymbals had a crack in it. This contributed greatly to what was known as F-8's "Wall of Noise" sound, a play on Phil Spector's "Wall of Sound".
Mark is in the center between Marky Anarchy of the band Subterfuge [http://anamericanpunkinsuburbia.blogspot.com/2006/05/american-bands-w-english-singers-pt1.html] (who had an album on Mystic Records [http://www.myspace.com/mymysticrecords] ) and Sean Sloan [http://www.myspace.com/seansloan] , the singer of Mark Minolta's band F-8.
